Hope House provided assistance to 3,124 clients through our Gabriel Project Community Outreach Program, 97 Shelter Clients, 151 Homeless Prevention Clients, and 58 Rapid Rehousing Clients for the year 2014. The average length of stay at our shelters was 74 days per resident. 54% of our residents were previously homeless, 41% to escape from domestic violence, and 5% for rehabilitation from drug or alcohol abuse. The average age of the clients at our shelter was 28 years with an ethnic breakdown of 58% Hispanic, 29% Caucasian, 11% African American, and 2% American Indian. 22 months was the average age of the children residing in our shelters. 59% of the clients who resided in our shelters completed our Life Skills Training Program and 15% attended GED classes and college through our Educational Assistance Program. 59% of our residents obtained permanent housing, employment and/or reconciled with family members when they left Hope House.
